The Medical Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Manager and Assistant Manager with all medical related duties and ensuring the smooth operation of consumer services in the area of health maintenance.

Additional Shift Details

Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and attend all individuals' medical, dental, psychiatric and any other appointments.
  • Complete documentation of appointment, file and distribute as appropriate to other providers (DDS, day programs, and family/guardians).
  • Monitor individual's medication supply at the site.
  • Assist individuals in dropping off and picking up prescriptions from the pharmacy.
  • Maintain current medication treatment charts.
  • Ensure accuracy of medications following Medication Administration Program procedures.
  • Maintain current Doctor's orders.
  • Ensure all individuals' health insurance is current.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree and two years’ related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and the ability to use solid judgment.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Highly organized and possess the ability to multitask in high energy atmosphere. 
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
