Mt. Vernon is a residential program located in Newton currently supporting 5 individuals, (with the capacity to support 7) this program funded through the Department of Developmental Services.
Ideal candidates for this management position will have experience working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a developmental or intellectual disabilities, preferably in a residential setting but not required, as well as have experience working with family members and guardians on a regular basis. Candidates should possess some experience in a clinical setting as well as experience in more complex medical needs, additional on-the-job training will be provided.
Despite being located in Newton, this program has on-site parking. This program encourages community integration/ outings and activities. (I am not aware of an MBTA options for this site)
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration of the assigned program, providing leadership, supervision, guidance, and clinical support. The Program Manager actively promotes community inclusion, self-advocacy, and individual rights.
