The Director of Community Crisis Stabilization and Respite Services is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary and business operations of the CCS and Respite services.  This involves oversight of a fast paced environment; coordinating admissions and discharges across 24 hours and multiple funders in both site based and mobile settings.

Responsibilities

  • Organize staff and staffing functions to provide appropriate and efficient client contact, services and satisfaction.
  • Assign and monitor scheduling of staff across programs to ensure efficiency of client contact, program coverage, and budget compliance.
  • Manage and streamline administrative processes and requirements in consultation with affiliated senior managers or designees including but not limited to Fiscal Services, Human Resources, Information Services, Housing, and Maintenance functions.
  • Manage and administer budget for assigned programs and monitor and improve productivity.
  • Provide on site management of clinical and administrative operations of individual programs as assigned.
  • Attend and actively participate in all trainings assigned; maintain necessary licensures and certifications (CPR/First Aid, crisis management, MAP).
  • Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and training to perform duties adequately.
  • Provide crisis on-call coverage as assigned.
  • Ensure that regular performance evaluations are conducted for all employees in programs as assigned.
  • Ensure that the clinical integrity of client programs and services are maintained.
  • Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.
  • Ensure health and safety of clients and staff through compliance with agency policies, OSHA and other safety standards.
  • Ensure all paperwork, reports, trainings are up to date and completed within the Divisions expected timelines.
  • Perform physical intervention in the event of a client crisis.
  • Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
  • Ensure that the clinical integrity of client programs and services are maintained.
  • Ensure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights policies.
  • Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Strictly implement and follow all agency Performance Standards.

Qualifications

  • Current Commonwealth of MA licensure in at least one of the following disciplines plus 5 years supervisory experience:  LICSW, LMHC, Rehab Counselor, LADC I, MD, RN, OT, LABA, Psychologist.
  • Strongly prefer candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must have sensitivity to the needs of the population.
  • Strong computer knowledge.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, and ability to use good judgment. 
  • Ability to read English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the programs as assigned.
  • Must hold a valid drivers’ license.  Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
