    The Recruiter is responsible for recruiting and hiring employees into entry-level and mid-level opportunities in the human services space.  As part of the Recruitment Team, you will collaborate with Hiring Managers, administrative departments and job seekers to offer creative solutions toward recruitment practices and ensure adequate staffing levels throughout the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with hiring managers to establish current hiring needs, providing consultation regarding recruiting talent.
    • Develop and exercise creative recruitment plans using networking, colleges and training programs, social media and career fairs and other avenues to attract talent. Design articulate job advertisements that help Advocates stand out. 
    • Proactively pursue active and passive candidates through networking avenues, online resources, community events and other tools and activities.
    • Screen applicants against current employment opportunities, assessing their suitability and preferences.
    • Conduct preliminary interviews, determining the candidate's overall eligibility. Match and present viable candidates to hiring managers based on interview results and staffing needs.
    • Develop and tweak recruitment and hiring results so processes are transparent and can be improved upon.
    • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to make timely hiring decisions.
    • Maintain relationships with hiring managers; recommend candidates who best align with their staffing needs.
    • Maintain relationships with candidates; recommend positions that best align with their qualifications and professional goals.
    • Recommend new sources of attracting candidates. Develop pools of future potential talent.
    • Extend verbal and written employment offers, and schedule candidates for New Hire Orientation. Participate in candidate negotiations and respond to follow-up questions and other offer-related information.
    • Onboard new hires during Orientation by administering, collecting and processing hiring documents.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or High School diploma/equivalent degree and two years of relevant experience required.  Experience in the human services industry is a plus!
    • Must have a keen eye for talent.
    • Must be computer literate; proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.  Familiarity with iCIMS and/or ADP are helpful but not required.
    • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.  Stellar interpersonal skills, excellent communication and ability to communicate effectively to all levels of care providers. 
    • Detail oriented approach, strong organizational skills and ability to think and react swiftly.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, work under pressure and thrive both independently and within a team.
    • Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle.
    • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
