    The Assistant Residential Director for the Developmental Services (DS) Division is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary and business operations of the DS Division.

    Responsibilities


    • Ensure implementation of philosophy of service delivery for DS and ensure high quality of services are maintained across all programs.

    • Assist with oversight of the Developmental Disabilities Division budget and ensure division meets expectations.

    • Ensure individual support plans are person-centered, support the individual’s life goals and are written appropriately with measurable objectives and entered into HCSIS within the required time frame. 

    • Organize staff and staffing functions to provide appropriate and efficient services, and satisfaction.

    • Ensure adequate implementation of agency and program specific policies and procedures.

    • Act as a liaison between related state agencies, community providers, families and guardians, and Advocates administration and programs.

    • Identify and assist with program development and strategies.

    • Ensure that performance evaluations and monthly supervisions are conducted.

    • Ensure that all records are maintained and reports are submitted in accordance with standards established by Advocates and applicable licensing and quality assurance regulations.

    • Assist with management of administrative processes and requirements in consultation with Fiscal, Human Resources, Information Services, Housing, and Maintenance functions.

    • Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and trainings to perform duties adequately, and that all certifications and trainings are current.

    • Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.

    • Supervise and provide on-call backup to Program Directors.

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and minimum of six years’ experience or training.  Five years’ supervisory experience.

    • Working knowledge of applicable regulations (DDS, MAP, etc.), and budget development and implementation.

    • Excellent reasoning and decision making abilities.

    • Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.

    • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
