The Jail Diversion Program Co-Response Clinician is embedded within a police agency and co-responds with law enforcement to 911 calls and other calls for service involving individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. The clinician provides in-the-moment behavioral health assessment, crisis intervention, and linkage to appropriate community-based services, either in the community or at the police station.
This role requires flexibility, independence, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to maintain professional composure and sound decision making in high-stress law enforcement environments. The clinician must demonstrate professionalism, sound boundaries, strong communication skills, and the ability to function effectively within a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
