The Representative Payee Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for paying bills for representative payee clients and coordinating payments with program staff for rep payee clients.

 

In person 3 days per week Monday through Friday 8:30-5pm, first 90 days of training will be fully onsite.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintains bank balances for checking and savings accounts for more than 350 clients.
  2. Imports auto deposits for the representative payee accounts.
  3. Issues checks and prepares direct deposits for consumer expenses against representative payee accounts.
  4. Maintains a file for each representative payee account.
  5. Produces a list of account balances for all representative payee accounts on a monthly basis for program management.
  6. Handles all emergency check requests from programs.
  7. Processes SSA applications and closely monitors status with follow up as needed.
  8. Prepares yearly Representative Payee Reports for the Social Security Administration.
  9. Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma required; some college preferred.
  2. 2-3 years Accounts Payable/Representative Payee experience required.
  3. Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
  4. Must have good Excel and computer skills.
  5. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  6. Familiarity with software including Microsoft applications.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively and knowledgeably with staff and outside constituencies.
  8. Must be organized and willing to learn and take initiative.
  9. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team environment.
