Recovery Coaches are fully integrated team members who identify as a former recipient of recovery services and now use that experience to provide individual and group support to people receiving services from Advocates’ Behavioral Health Services.   Recovery Coaches approach their work with hope, promote self-determination, and assist in connecting people to resources, supports and opportunities in the larger community outside of the mental health system. Recovery Coaches provide expertise and consultation to the entire Division to help create a culture in which the point of view and preferences of each person we support are recognized, understood, respected, honored, validated and integrated into all services, support, treatment, rehabilitation and community recovery activities.
