Salary $60,000-$70,000

 

Based out of Advocates' Family Continuity Peabody Clinic, the School Based Clinician will provide trauma informed outpatient counseling to children and adolescents ranging in age from 3 to 21 years old in the school. Clinicians will conduct evidence based treatment both individually and in collaboration with the school system.  Clinicians will be expected to collaborate with systems related to the child/adolescent including but not limited to schools, pediatricians, and outside providers. Advocates is looking for individuals with a team mentality and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, group counseling, psycho-education, individual counseling, treatment planning, and aftercare planning
  • Coordinate treatment and care with other providers as appropriate.
  • Work as liaison between assigned FC program, state agencies, funding sources, and community referral sources.
  • Conduct educational trainings as needed.
  • Utilize treatment modalities that are consistent with program goals and that best fit with clients’ age and treatment needs, including play/expressive therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
  • Perform telehealth and mobile counseling
  • Participate in continuing education activities and in-service training programs to remain knowledgeable in area(s) of expertise and to meet credentialing and privileging requirements

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar degree
  • Must be independently licensed with an LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
  • Current driver's license, proper auto insurance coverage, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the community
  • Access to personal cell phone
  • Ability to work a flexible Monday-Friday daytime/afternoon schedule
  • Spanish / Portuguese speaking, preferred
