Overview

We are seeking an independent, motivated person to assist our licensed PBS Qualified Behavioral Clinicians.   Help us with all aspects of Positive Behavioral Supports, including training and implementation of behavior plans in day and residential programs, collecting and displaying data,  assessing individual and staff needs, and rolling out our agency wide PBS initiative.   Support clinical services in day and residential programs located Ashland/Framingham to Worcester.    Ideal position for someone looking to grow a career in the field of ABA.

Minimum Education Required

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with PBS Qualified Clinicians in providing clinical supports for individuals receiving day and/or residential services within the developmental services and brain injury divisions.
  • Promote PBS through training, implementing, hands on modeling, and tracking of Universal, Targeted and Intensive Behavior Supports and other evidence-based clinical interventions as developed by PBS Qualified Clinicians.
  • Directly provide increased clinical supports to individuals who are in need (new to program, unstable presentation, in crisis).
  • Assist in the development of data tracking systems and the collection and display of data for agency PBS initiatives, Positive Behavior Support Plans, Medication Treatment Plans, and other data-based endeavors.
  • Actively participate in medication reviews, case conferences, annual meetings, staff meetings, supervisions, etc. as needed.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively within the multidisciplinary teams that include people receiving services, Shared Living Teams, Brain Injury Residential Supports Teams, Developmental Residential/Day Teams.
  • Ensure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights policy.
  • Acquire and maintain Safety Care certification.
  • Work collaboratively with Advocates’ support departments (e.g., Health Services, Quality Management, Risk Management, Fiscal, Human Resources, Facilities).
  • In conjunction with PBS Qualified Clinicans, foster collaborative, proactive, and culturally responsive work with families of people receiving services.
  • Maintain certifications for all mandatory trainings required by Advocates and funders’ regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work or related field.   High school diploma considered with extensive experience in the field.
  • Minimum of one year working in the field of developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries.
  • Strongly prefer one year of experience implementing behavior intervention strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to Advocates values and mission.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and access to auto.
