Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical consultation to individuals being treated on the unit.
  • Responsible for the development of assessment, intervention and monitoring strategies, including written behavioral plans, data collection processes and reviewing data collected.
  • Coordinates and/or provides training for staff working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Facilitates case consultation with an individual’s treatment team.
  • Participates in daily clinical rounds with the unit’s team.
  • Participates in discharge planning when special training is required.
  • Proactively identifies clinical risks and potential safety issues for clients.
  • Ensures comprehensive and continuous communication between staff, clients, families and programs.
  • Provides an environment of quality service by meeting or exceeding the needs of the client, vendor, community and agency.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in psychology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavioral interventions and experience working with developmentally disabled individuals exhibiting severe behavior problems.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to use sound judgment.
  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
