Overview

Salary Range: $80k-$90k

 

The Director of Operations for DS/BI develops and implements operational strategies for the DS & BI service lines including the provision of administrative oversight of assigned services, programs and contracts.  They are responsible for service line project management; contract monitoring analysis; program development; and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and track contracts within Gatekeeper, contract management platform including leases and Independent Contractor Agreements.
  • Track and support programs with State and Foundation funded contract utilization for both Hourly & Cost Reimbursement Contracts and/or grants.
  • Provide ongoing education/training and support to program staff when applicable. Ensure appropriate onboarding and fiscal training for new Program Managers and Directors.
  • Implement program development, policies, procedures and standards of practice, which ensure delivery of quality care and compliance with standards or regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate across support departments, to complete transactions, projects, or efficiencies consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the VPs and SVP as well as the agency.
  • Oversee status forms submitted by Hiring Managers and HR for approval. Review new positions and job descriptions, ensuring budget compliance.
  • Support the pursuit of new business opportunities and advance the expansion of existing services. Participate in in the submission of proposals and grants. Ensure all required documentation, reports, and RFR narratives are submitted on time.
  • Develop systems and ensure implementation of applicable policy/procedures and state/federal regulations across service lines.
  • In coordination with DS/BI programs and facilities staff, review and develop property improvement plans, approve plans ensuring projects are consistent with the needs of people supported and as agreed to with facilities staff.
  • Provides coordination, oversight and submission for accreditation and licensing across all DS & BI programs.
  • Represent the DS & BI Services division on committee’s and taskforces as required. 
  • Support affiliations, and other community partnerships and collaborations including managing related agreement execution in coordination with contract management systems and staff.
  • Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.
  • Develop, ensure, streamline or eliminate administrative processes and requirements across service lines to ensure operational efficiency, clinical integrity and program integrity.
  • Direct, manage and coordinate projects as assigned.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders persons served, families and informal supports as required.
  • Ensure quality management systems are implemented within assigned services and support all related quality, performance improvement and accreditation activities, to include DDS Office of Quality Enhancement (OQE) and Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) meetings and prep.
  • Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.
  • Oversee the compliance of Nursing and Clinical hours.
  • Ensure the health and safety of clients and staff through compliance with agency policies, OSHA and other safety standards.
  • Oversee and update the intranet for the service areas.
  • Oversee fleet management in conjunction with Facilities and Fleet Management team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, and experience in a non-profit environment required.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with operational best practices.
  • Proven administrative and management ability in a complex environment, preferably health care or clinical administrative settings.
  • Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Strong computer knowledge.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function independently as well as in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
  • Must hold a valid drivers’ license.  Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle to travel between sites.
