The Integrated Care Recovery Support Navigator provides care coordination to people building a recovery-based life as well as provide information and resources to Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) staff helping these individuals with regards to substance misuse problems.

Additional Shift Details

This position can be part time (20 hrs/week) to full time (40 hours/week); hybrid position with occasional office time in Framingham.

Responsibilities

  • Engage individuals as they present in the treatment system for substance misuse problems and supports them in accessing relevant services.
  • Develop linkages with community resources that promote a sober, recovery focused lifestyle while addressing system barriers to a person's successful recovery.
  • Provide care navigation services to individuals with substance misuse and mental health problems to enhance treatment engagement, education and support throughout the continuum of care.  
  • Work with individuals and their families to motivate and maintain them in culturally relevant behavioral health services in their community. 
  • Act as a resource for CBHC staff regarding addiction resources, treatment models, and strategies for supporting individuals in recovery.
  • Attends and actively participates in all supervisions and staff meetings.
  • Attend trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications and licenses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, related field or discipline, or LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor), or has a recognized certification and/or licensure to work with some level of expertise and competence, with people with recovery-based needs. 
  • The ideal candidate must possess knowledge and understanding about treatment for and recovery from substance use disorders.
  • The ideal candidate will have familiarity with community-based addiction services and resources in the geographic area and/or in Massachusetts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and access to an operational and insured automobile.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
