Advocates is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide leadership and clinical guidance to our Family Support Services team! The Clinical Supervisor will support our contracted services with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), including Family Stabilization Services, Parent Aide, Youth Support, and Supervised Visitation. Team members provide services primarily in families’ homes and in other community locations. We support families in navigating a wide range of issues, including trauma, complex family systems, and substance use.

 

The Clinical Supervisor will support staff in delivering high-quality, person-centered services. The Clinical Supervisor will also provide direct services to a small number of families through Family Stabilization Services.

 

This role is hybrid, with 2-3 days remote. You will be joining a collaborative and energetic environment that incorporates a wide range of programs. Our multidisciplinary providers are invested in continuous learning and clinical excellence. Prior supervisory experience is a plus, but new supervisors are also encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual supervision to clinicians and paraprofessional staff.
  • Contribute to a welcoming, trauma informed, culturally sensitive environment.
  • Facilitate team meetings and trainings.
  • Provide direct clinical services to a small number of families, including assessment, treatment planning, and clinical intervention.
  • Collaborate with staff members to come up with creative solutions to routine and complex situations.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new clinical staff.
  • Provide back-up on call support and guidance as needed during emergencies. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related license-eligible field from an accredited university.
  • Independent licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LADC 1 is preferred but not required.
  • At least two years of providing clinical services to children and/or families.
  • Strong computer knowledge and ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document services.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Outstanding reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Must have valid driver’s license. Must have access to an operational and insured automobile and be willing to use it to transport members.
