Salary $64,160-$74,160

$3,000 Sign On Bonus

Based out of Advocates' Family Continuity Peabody Clinic, the Bilingual School-Based Clinician will provide trauma informed outpatient counseling to children and adolescents ranging in age from 3 to 21 years old in the school and home setting. Clinicians will conduct evidence based treatment both individually and family based in collaboration with the school system.  Clinicians will be expected to collaborate with systems related to the child/adolescent including but not limited to schools, pediatricians, and outside providers. Advocates is looking for individuals with a team mentality and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a balanced, healthy, safe and open environment for clients.
  • Provide school and home based, evaluations, family and individual outpatient counseling to children/adolescents in the school setting
  • Follow all trauma informed practices
  • Advocate for clients’ needs within the program as well as with external agencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records including written evaluations, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, termination summaries and progress notes.
  • Attend trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications (CPR/First Aid, MAP, HR/DPPC).
  • Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings
  • Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in related field and one year of experience working within an outpatient setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese
  • Ability to work with children and families in the community
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill, including documentation abilities.
  • Intuitive, client-centered, supportive approach.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support. 
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and access to an operational and insured vehicle.
  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
