The Senior Payroll Coordinator is responsible for all processes related to payroll.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for notifying all employees of the timecard deadline each pay period.
  2. Responsible for preparing a reconciliation of approved hours to Workforce Now.
  3. Post edits, payroll adjustments and corrections.
  4. Enter bonuses, retro pay and shift differential pay into ADP.
  5. Assist with the review of the pre-process register to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
  6. Receives and opens the payroll package.
  7. Responsible for mailing payroll checks.
  8. Assist in responding to employee inquiries and questions regarding pay.
  9. Runs reports from ADP report writer.
  10. Recommend process improvements.
  11. Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
  12. Performs all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. A.S. in Business and 3 years experience in ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enhanced Time and Attendance.
  2. Strong Excel spreadsheet and computer skills. I.e. import spreadsheets into ADP.
  3. Ability to communicate articulately and knowledgeably with all levels of internal staff and outside constituencies.
  4. Must be well-organized and willing to learn and take initiative.
  5. Attention to detail is critical.
  6. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team environment.
  7. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Needs to demonstrate good customer service skills.
  9. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  10. Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
