The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for all the processes related to payroll. This position will focus on developing and analyzing payroll reports and data as well as payroll processing.

Responsibilities

  1. Process bi-weekly client payroll.
  2. Conduct regular audits of payroll and ETime data to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Provide analytical support for payroll-related projects.
  4. Responsible for bi-weekly payroll reports to Finance Team and creation of other ad-hoc reports as needed.
  5. Prepare detailed payroll analysis reports for state reporting purposes
  6. Work closely with the Payroll Director to review final ADP reports and analyze trends
  7. Verifies and processes payroll transactions ensuring accuracy and completeness
  8. Prepare and reviews time off balances and reconciles discrepancies
  9. Responsible for preparing a reconciliation of approved hours to Workforce Now
  10. Post edits, payroll adjustments and corrections.
  11. Enter bonuses, retro pay, and shift differential pay into ADP.
  12. Assist with the review of the pre-process register to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
  13. Assist in responding to employee inquiries and questions regarding pay.
  14. Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
  15. Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. A.S. in Business and 8-10 years’ experience in ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enhanced Time and Attendance. Experience with ADP report writer.
  2. Knowledge of payroll best practices and federal and state regulations regarding payroll, benefits, and taxes.
  3. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with data imports to HRIS systems.
  4. Ability to communicate articulately and knowledgeably with all levels of internal staff and outside constituencies.
  5. Must be well-organized and willing to learn and take initiative.
  6. Superior attention to detail.
  7. Superior customer service skills.
  8. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team environment.
  9. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  10. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
